Job summary

Talent Hive Ltd in Warrington is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial and contractual management on major energy infrastructure projects. You will supervise costs, valuations and subcontractor contracts, ensuring NEC3/NEC4 compliance while building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

The role involves energy, utilities and civil engineering projects, with a mix of office and site work in Warrington.

Qualifications

5+ years' Quantity Surveying experience.
Experience in civil engineering, civils, utilities, infrastructure or energy.
NEC3 and NEC4 contract knowledge.
Experience managing cost control, CVRs, forecasting, valuations and change.
Professional membership such as RICS desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Lead the commercial and contractual management of energy and infrastructure projects.
Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts, margins and cash flow.
Prepare and manage client valuations, variations and change.
Manage NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
Manage subcontractor valuations, payments and final accounts.
Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks.
Produce CVRs and commercial reporting.
Work with operational teams delivering civil engineering, utilities and energy infrastructure.
Build strong client, subcontractor and stakeholder relationships.
Mentor junior members of the commercial team.
