Job summary

Fazila Foods in Bolton is seeking a Senior QA Technician to support the Site Technical Manager in upholding Food Safety and Quality Management across production. You will lead QA activities, promote a strong food safety culture and drive continuous improvement through CAPA and audits.

The role involves deputising for the Site Technical Manager, ensuring GMP, HACCP and regulatory compliance, training staff, and sustaining audit readiness at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Quality Assurance role within a food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety legislation and quality management systems.
• Experience with BRCGS, SALSA or equivalent standards.
• Experience investigating customer complaints and CAPA.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine QA checks across production to ensure safety and legality.
• Verify CCPs, hygiene, allergen controls, and records.
• Conduct internal GMP and hygiene audits and traceability checks.
• Monitor product quality, weights, labeling, and shelf-life per specs.
• Investigate complaints and non-conformances and implement CAPA.
• Train QA staff and deputise for Site Technical Manager when needed.
