Job summary

Harvey Nash Group is seeking a Senior Full Stack Python Engineer to design, build, and deliver intelligent backend systems and modern front-end applications for data-intensive workflows. The role blends distributed systems engineering with AI/agentic tooling and data visualization using React and AG Grid.

You will work across the stack, implement MCP servers, and collaborate with stakeholders to scope requirements. Hybrid arrangement with in-office days in London is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python experience with async programming and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Celery, Redis, Celery Beat, and Flower in production.
• Practical experience implementing MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers/tools.
• Solid React experience and AG Grid for complex data grids.
• Working knowledge of SQL; Oracle experience is a plus.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating with internal/external systems.
• Testing experience with pytest and React testing libraries; quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to engage with business users to scope requirements; domain knowledge of commodities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Python with async processing.
• Build MCP servers and expose complex APIs for AI agents and applications.
• Integrate LangChain/LangGraph-based agentic workflows and orchestration logic.
• Develop front-end UIs in React with AG Grid for data-dense interfaces.
• Write efficient SQL queries and work with Oracle databases.
• Build and document REST or MCP-based APIs, ensuring scalability and observability.
