Job summary

Octopus Electric Vehicles is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Python) to join our Product & Technology team. You will design and build robust APIs, work with GraphQL, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases on AWS, and contribute to frontend work when needed.

You will own features end-to-end, mentor teammates, and help evolve backend systems for speed, scale and maintainability, while collaborating across cross-functional teams in a hybrid London/Brighton/Remote GB setup.

Qualifications

• Senior Python engineer with API design experience.
• Proficient with GraphQL, PostgreSQL and NoSQL.
• Experience on AWS and scalable backend systems.
• Frontend exposure with React/Next.js is a plus.

Responsibilities
