BWB Consulting Limited is seeking a Senior Python Developer to lead the development of the optimisation and automation engine behind our warehouse design workflow. You will turn complex calculations and Excel processes into reliable software used by structural engineers and tender teams.

Reporting to the Digital Innovation Lead, you will own the solution from design to testing and ongoing improvement, collaborating with users to deliver measurable efficiency gains and robust outputs across

Qualifications

• Advanced Python programming skills in a business environment.
• Strong data processing with pandas and NumPy.
• Experience integrating Python with Excel (openpyxl, xlwings or equivalent).
• Track record automating complex spreadsheet-based workflows.
• Experience with optimisation methods or numerical problem-solving.
• Solid testing, debugging, Git version control and documentation.
• Clear communication to translate engineering needs into software.

Responsabilités

• Build core engine for warehouse design optimisation and tender production.
• Translate calculations and rules into reusable, configurable code.
• Develop routines to compare design options against criteria.
• Connect data and workflows with Excel workbooks and templates.
• Automate schedules, summaries and reports with traceability.
• Collaborate with engineers to test solutions and drive adoption.
• Measure improvements in production times and efficiency.
• Ensure quality through testing and proper documentation.
