Hippo Digital Limited is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our Leeds-based team. You will lead production of user-centred software and work with a multi-disciplinary squad to deliver bespoke digital services. You will mentor engineers and steer technical excellence while collaborating with business stakeholders.

The role emphasises modern Python development, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native delivery using Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD practices within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Python development experience in a professional delivery team.
• Delivery of robust, high-quality software solutions.
• Experience guiding others to achieve optimal solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience across full development lifecycle for user-centred digital solutions.
• Advanced full-stack skills: Python, HTML, CSS & JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Lead production of user-centred software based on business requirements and best practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to design and deliver complex client solutions.
• Manage software development and deployment pipelines, resolving issues and bottlenecks.
• Communicate prototypes, solutions and progress clearly to stakeholders.
• Build relationships with team and stakeholders and overcome challenges.
• Mentor engineers and support consultants in their development.
