Job summary

Anson McCade Pty is partnering with a fast-growing digital team inside a major automotive financial services group to hire a Senior Python Backend Engineer in London. The role focuses on building scalable services for vehicle marketplace and digital product pipelines, with a hybrid work pattern and Tues/Thurs in Holborn.

You will lead design and implementation of backend services, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product, Design and Sales to shape robust, scalable systems using Python,

Qualifications

• Expert Python delivering production services end to end.
• Proficient with FastAPI, Django and AWS.
• Strong database, OO design, data structures and distributed systems knowledge.
• Excellent communicator and collaborative team member.
• Willing to mentor developing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, maintainable backend services, hands on.
• Turn complex business needs into robust technical designs and architecture.
• Choose the right tools and suggest new ones.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Sales, through code and design reviews.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
