Unknown is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build highly scalable backend services in Python, shaping architecture and influencing the tools and techniques used by the team. You’ll work closely with Product, Design and Sales and mentor developing engineers in a collaborative, fast-growth environment.

Qualifications

Strong Python backend experience with any framework.
Solid understanding of databases, OO design, data structures.
Experience with distributed systems and SOLID principles.
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

Build highly scalable, maintainable backend services.
Shape architecture and technical design for complex business problems.
Suggest new tools, frameworks and approaches where they add value.
Share ideas through code and design reviews, pair programming and presentations.
Help improve the team’s Agile ways of working.
Provide technical leadership and mentor developing engineers.
