Job summary

Oxford Knight is seeking an experienced backend engineer to help build a Python-based platform that integrates datasets, analytics and pricing systems across a hedge fund. You will deploy to Portfolio Managers, develop scalable APIs, and collaborate with PMs, traders and researchers.

The role requires 7+ years of experience with 4+ years in Python, strong API design skills, and familiarity with equity or fixed income analytics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience, including 4+ years of Python.
• Solid experience building a product and iterating based on user feedback.
• Good eye for API design, focusing on scalability and reliability.
• Familiarity with equity and/or fixed income products, especially pricing/analytics.
• Use of data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities

• Build a Python-based platform to integrate datasets, analytics/pricing systems and tech platforms.
• Deploy the platform to PMs, and build & maintain robust APIs and services.
• Support trading, risk management, tech analysis & research with reliable systems.
• Communicate effectively with both business and technology teams.
