Job summary

London Hedge Fund Python Research & Trading Technology is seeking an experienced Quant Developer to join a high-performance engineering team. You will design and build Python-based software supporting research, analytics and live trading, collaborating with researchers and traders to productionise ideas.

Candidates should have 4+ years of commercial Python experience, a strong degree in a technical field, and a track record of robust, scalable software development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial Python development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance or a similar technical discipline.
• Experience designing robust, scalable software.
• Understanding of data processing, storage and analysis.
• Experience with modern software engineering practices including Git and Agile.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with Quant Researchers to build software supporting research and trading.
• Developing scalable Python applications and workflows.
• Designing high-performance solutions for processing and analysing large datasets.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to build reusable software components.
• Taking ownership from design through deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Supporting business-critical systems within a modern engineering environment.
