Job summary

Involved Solutions in London is seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to design and maintain automation frameworks for telecoms networks. You will build REST APIs with Flask and FastAPI, and develop lightweight dashboards using HTML, CSS and Jinja2.

The role focuses on Python automation, backend services, and integration across PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB/Redis in a large-scale, hybrid London environment. Salary up to £108k with bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience.
• Designing and developing REST APIs with Flask/FastAPI.
• Experience with API authentication, error handling and documentation.
• Experience with HTML/CSS/Jinja2 for lightweight web interfaces.
• Databases: SQL and NoSQL; PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB/Redis.
• Linux environments with Bash scripting.
• Docker and Docker Compose for deployment.
• CI/CD with Jenkins and/or GitLab CI/CD.
• Git version control.
• Python automation libraries (Requests, Paramiko, Subprocess, Schedule, Pandas).
• Networking basics: HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH.
• Experience with 4G/5G or SBA is a plus.
• Event-driven architectures with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• OpenStack and IaC knowledge.
• Test automation (Pytest, Selenium, Playwright).
• Monitoring with Grafana/ELK/Prometheus.
• Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python automation frameworks and scripts for network testing and data processing.
• Build RESTful APIs using Flask/FastAPI for internal services.
• Develop web dashboards using HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Jinja2.
• Manage data across PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB/Redis.
• Create Docker/Docker Compose environments for deployment and testing.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab.
• Automate Linux tasks with Bash, cron and scripting.
• Integrate Python apps with telecom network systems and APIs.
• Implement logging, monitoring and error handling across services.
• Collaborate with QA, Network Eng. and DevOps to deliver automation opportunities.
• Support scalable, reliable engineering solutions.
