Job summary

Queen Square Recruitment is seeking a Python Developer to design and maintain automation and backend services for telecom networks. You will collaborate with QA, Network Engineering, and DevOps to deliver scalable REST APIs, data-driven tools, and monitoring across 5G platforms.

The role requires 4+ years of Python experience, Flask or FastAPI API work, and strong Linux scripting. Expect 4 days on-site in London or Ipswich, with a 12-month initial contract and daily rate negotiations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Python development experience in automation or backend
• Experience building REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and Jinja2

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python automation frameworks and scripts for network testing and data processing
• Build RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis
• Develop and maintain Docker-based applications and environments
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
• Write Linux shell scripts and manage deployments on Linux servers
• Integrate with telecom network systems and APIs for validation and monitoring
• Implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling solutions
• Collaborate with QA, Network Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable automation solutions
