Job summary

Involved Solutions is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join a large-scale tech environment in a hybrid London setup. You will develop automation frameworks, REST APIs and backend services supporting telecoms and network operations.

The role stresses Python, Flask/FastAPI, Docker, CI/CD and Linux, with exposure to databases and dashboards. Collaboration with QA, Network Engineering and DevOps is key.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python development experience.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs with Flask and/or FastAPI.
• Experience with API authentication, error handling and documentation.
• Experience with HTML, CSS and Jinja2 for lightweight web interfaces.
• Strong database experience across SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
• Experience with MongoDB and/or Redis.
• Strong Linux experience including Bash/shell scripting.
• Experience building and deploying apps with Docker/Docker Compose.
• Experience with CI/CD, ideally Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Strong Git/version control experience.
• Experience with Python automation libraries (Requests, Paramiko, Subprocess, Schedule, Pandas).
• Understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks for network testing and data processing.
• Build RESTful APIs using Flask and FastAPI for internal services and integrations.
• Develop lightweight web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Jinja2.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and Redis for data needs.
• Build and maintain Docker environments for deployment and testing.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
• Develop Linux automation with Bash and cron jobs.
• Integrate Python apps with telecom network systems and APIs.
• Create automated validation, health checks and monitoring.
• Implement robust logging and error handling across services.
• Collaborate with QA, Network Engineering and DevOps to deliver automation opportunities.
• Support scalable, reliable engineering solutions.
