Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 8a Senior Practitioner Psychologist to join the Neurodevelopmental Pathway (Autism Assessment Service). The post covers Birmingham catchment and requires liaising with education and multidisciplinary teams to assess neurodevelopmental needs in children across care settings.

You will supervise psychological assessments and contribute to policy development, service improvements and research activities within the team.

Qualifications

• Specialist psychological assessment of children using diverse data sources.
• Formulate and implement plans for treatment across care settings.
• Deliver range of psychological interventions for children, carers and families.
• Knowledge of SEND processes and education agenda.
