Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Practitioner Psychologist for the Neurodevelopmental Pathway (Autism Assessment Service) to assess children with neurodevelopmental needs across the Birmingham area.

You will supervise others, contribute to audit and policy development, and liaise with education. You will support a culture of research and provide expert psychological care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Doctoral level training in Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychology (or equivalent).
• HCPC Registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Post-doctoral qualification in additional specialised areas of psychology.
• Training in supervision of doctoral level trainee psychologists.
• Training in research methodology and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessment of children using diverse data sources.
• Formulate and implement plans for psychological treatment/management.
• Deliver psychological interventions for children, carers, families and groups.
• Utilise SEND processes and education knowledge in practice.
