Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Practitioner Psychologist to join the Neurodevelopmental Pathway (Autism Assessment Service). You will conduct specialist assessments of children with neurodevelopmental needs across the Birmingham catchment and work within a multidisciplinary team.

You will supervise other psychologists, contribute to audits and policy development, and liaise with education partners to improve care for children, families and carers.

Qualifications

• Supervision of psychological assessments and therapies.
• Strong research skills for audit, policy and service development.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments of children with neurodevelopmental needs using varied data sources.
• Formulate and implement plans for formal psychological treatment and management.
• Supervise and support assessments and therapy delivered by other psychologists and staff.
• Contribute to research, audits and policy development within the service.
• Liaise with education and other professional services to support children and families.
