Job summary

ACS Automotive Recruitment is seeking a Senior PSV Technical Specialist for a growing Minibus and Midicoach sales and aftersales operation in Southwater, West Sussex. You'll be the technical expert on minibus, bus, coach, including EVs, leading escalation for PSV technicians and liaising with vehicle factories to maintain performance and quality across the UK and Ireland.

Qualifications

• Automotive qualification or equivalent in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of leadership or technical experience in the transport industry, with minibus/bus/coach and EV exposure.
• Proficient understanding of passenger transport vehicle systems, CANBUS, remote diagnosis, and EV technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Strong independent and team-based work capabilities, able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail for technical accuracy and compliance.
• Track record of advancing technical excellence and sustainability in passenger transport.
• Solid commercial acumen and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Act as the company's subject matter expert on minibus, bus, and coach vehicles including EVs, providing technical advice to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with factories supplying vehicles and lead technical communications for resolution and product improvements.
• Lead technical training sessions for internal teams to enhance product knowledge and issue handling.
• Develop and update technical documentation, service manuals, and troubleshooting guides for all vehicles.
• Collaborate with Aftersales to resolve complex technical issues and guide repair procedures.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and EV regulations; implement best practices.
• Conduct regular technical audits and quality checks to ensure compliance.
• Advise customers and our service network on vehicle performance and EV technology.
