Job summary

The University of Edinburgh is seeking an experienced technician to provide specialist technical support within the Edinburgh Protein Production Facility (EPPF). The postholder will help ensure the efficient running, maintenance and development of the facility, supporting users across the University and external partners with protein expression, purification, and associated experimental design.

• Experience in protein expression and purification.
• Use and maintenance of modern liquid chromatography systems.
• Strong laboratory skills and knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical support within the Edinburgh Protein Production Facility (EPPF).
• Help ensure efficient running, maintenance and development of the facility.
• Support users across the University and external partners with protein expression and purification workflows.
• Advise and support on biophysical workflows for QC of protein reagents.
