Job summary

Egis is seeking a Principal Engineer (P&C) to lead the design review and approval for Protection and Control projects within the UK. This role involves assessing designs for substations and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities include stakeholder coordination, risk identification, and maintaining project documentation. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and proven P&C design expertise, with additional preferences for Chartered Engineer status.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in P&C design within Electricity Transmission and/or DNO sector.
• Strong knowledge of substations, transformers, switchgear, and HV cable.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards CEng accreditation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and approve P&C design submissions for compliance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and contractors regarding P&C design.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to contractor designs.
• Maintain records of design submissions and prepare reports.
