Crown House Technologies is seeking an experienced Protection & Control Engineer to lead P&C design assurance on a major data centre project in Didcot. You will drive technical governance, oversee protection schemes and relay coordination, and ensure compliance with National Grid and client requirements.

You'll collaborate with design consultants, OEMs and project teams, providing guidance through design, construction and commissioning.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or power systems with relevant professional experience.
• Extensive experience in protection & control engineering for substations and critical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of protection schemes, relay coordination and settings.

Responsabilidades

• Take technical ownership of P&C design assurance across project deliverables.
• Lead design reviews, QA and approval processes for protection systems.
• Review protection schemes, relay coordination and protection settings.
• Ensure designs comply with National Grid requirements and client specs.
• Provide technical input through design, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate with design consultants, OEMs and subcontractors to meet requirements.
• Identify design gaps, non‑compliances and engineering risks with clear actions.
• Lead technical meetings and workshops with stakeholders.
• Support commissioning reviews and system integration discussions.
• Develop and review technical documentation and QA records.
• Contribute to procurement activities with equipment selection input.
• Maintain traceability of P&C documentation and governance alignment.
• Promote Safety by Design throughout the design lifecycle.
• Support adoption of IEC 61850, digital substations and advanced automation.
