Crown House Technologies is seeking an experienced Protection & Control Engineer for a major Data Centre project in Didcot, Oxfordshire. You will own P&C design assurance, lead technical reviews and coordinate across design, construction and commissioning teams.

The role requires substantial P&C experience in substations, relay coordination and SCADA integration, with strong governance and stakeholder management capabilities. UK safety standards and IEC 61850 knowledge are valued.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related discipline.
• 10+ years in Protection & Control engineering, transmission and distribution design/delivery.
• Strong understanding of substations, protection schemes and relay coordination.
• Experience reviewing and assuring P&C designs for complex projects.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, substation automation and protocols.
• Familiarity with National Grid specs, procedures and supplier requirements.
• Experience with major electrical equipment manufacturers and design consultants.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850 and protection/ control communication standards.

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of P&C design assurance, ensuring deliverables meet project specs and standards.
• Lead technical design reviews, QA, and approval processes for P&C systems.
• Review protection schemes, relay coordination, settings, SCADA integration and control systems.
• Ensure designs comply with National Grid requirements and governance procedures.
• Provide technical input across design, construction, commissioning and handover stages.
• Coordinate with design consultants, OEMs, project teams and subcontractors.
• Identify design gaps, risks and non-compliances with clear corrective actions.
• Lead technical meetings, design reviews and engineering workshops.
