Job summary

Scottish Power Transmissions in Cambuslang, Scotland is seeking a Lead P&C Design Engineer to lead protection and control design for transmission networks (132kV and above). The role involves delivering engineering specifications, providing technical support, and mentoring other engineers.

You will define technical criteria, ensure compliance with safety standards, and contribute to project delivery across multiple sites, with travel to site as required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with relevant experience.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Awareness of CDM and Health & Safety best practice in design.

Responsibilities

• Define protections, control and ancillary apparatus requirements for input to SCA and project specifications.
• Prepare and review Control & Protection design drawings and specifications.
• Provide engineering expertise in Protection & Control across networks and substations.
• Lead technical resolution of site/construction control and protection issues.
