Job summary

Proserv in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Proposals Engineer to lead the development of complex, high-value technical and commercial proposals for global customers in the energy sector.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Business Development, Project Management, Procurement and Legal to deliver competitive, technically robust and commercially aligned solutions that meet client requirements.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with proven ability to develop technical and commercial proposals.
• Experience in control systems and industrial bidding and tendering processes.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to interpret complex engineering requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across departments and with customers.
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and development of major technical and commercial proposals in response to ITT/RFQ.
• Define proposal strategies, win themes and execution plans with BD and senior management.
• Review client requirements to establish scope, deliverables and technical solutions.
• Coordinate input from Engineering, Operations and SCM for cost estimates and schedules.
• Provide senior engineering input to ensure technical integrity and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with Legal to identify and minimise contractual risks.
• Manage the full tender submission lifecycle including deadlines and documentation.
• Act as key contact for customers, leading clarification meetings and presentations.
• Support management reporting, proposal reviews and Risk Review Board presentations.
• Maintain proposal records and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Mentor and guide junior Proposal Engineers and the wider team.
