Position: Senior Property Manager

Location: Hybrid/Reading office minimum 2 days per week

Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00, Monday - Friday

Job Description:

The Senior Property Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of 8 key client developments in Reading as well as line management of a team of 3 Property Managers and/or Assistant Property Managers. Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  • To line manage, oversee and support a team of 3 individuals who report to the Senior Property Manager and who assist in the management of Chaneys managed sites.
  • To carry out development inspections as necessary to ensure Chaneys and Trinity Property Group’s responsibilities are met.
  • To effectively manage the relationship with the customer (responding to customer queries, attending meetings, working with customer groups and ensuring complaints are resolved effectively).
  • To liaise with the Accounts department to ensure accurate financial management of the development.
  • Source, appoint and manage competent trade persons to undertake works across the portfolio.
  • To ensure all works undertaken by contractors are of suitable quality and cost effective.
  • To ensure all Health and Safety and Industry legislation is adhered to.
  • To ensure all monthly reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To support and deputise for the Head of Estate Management when necessary.
  • To effectively manage ad-hoc projects (such as redecorations) as required.
  • To attend Chaneys office at least two days per week.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Must have previous experience in a managerial position.
  • Ideally MTPI qualified (or must be willing to work towards).
  • Must have experience in the residential property management sector.
  • A proven track record in customer service.
  • Must have a full UK driving license (maximum 6 points).
  • Must have good negotiation skills and attention to detail.
  • A proven track record of budgeting and account management.
  • An understanding of leasehold property legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
