Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking an experienced contracts professional to manage projects end-to-end on site. You will oversee estimating, contract progression, site setup, and liaison with on-site staff while ensuring health and safety compliance and quality control.

The role emphasizes managing changes, resource planning, and implementing best practices for project execution within NEC3 framework and subcontracting processes.

Qualifications

• Project management across projects and site teams.
• Relevant FISS/CSCS certificates held.
• CITB SMSTS qualification confirmed.
• Demonstrated estimating skills for contracts and quotes.
• Knowledge of fence types, electrical fencing, CCTV and access control systems.

Responsibilities

• Project manage contracts
• Estimating and quotes
• Monthly report to MD & Contracts Director for progression/updates
• Site set up and management
• Liaison with site staff
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments
• Site Health & Safety inspections
• Ensure quality control and test inspection docs meet timescales
• Promote material sustainability and waste reduction
• Ensure contractors are competent and licensed; equipment tested and certified
• Monitor installed services for compliance with contract docs
• Record and report defective materials and substandard workmanship
• Assess staffing and resource needs
• Proactively manage scope changes and risks
• Develop best practices for project execution and management
