Job summary

Swanton Care is seeking a Senior Project Worker to lead the day-to-day management of a shift at our Middlesbrough service. You will provide practical and emotional support to empower residents, helping them to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible.

The role requires empathy, a person-centred approach, and experience in care, including working with people who have learning disabilities or autism.

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate equivalent of Level 2 in English
• Willingness to work towards Care Certificate
• A good standard of general education
• 2 years of working within a team
• Experience in a care environment
• Experience, either paid or voluntary supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management of a shift in a supported living service
• Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people to achieve their goals
• Respect individuality and enable people to make choices about their lives
• Attend to daily living skills, health needs, and safeguarding as required
• Maintain medication management and record outcomes in service user records
• Encourage engagement in activities and community involvement
• Participate in regular meetings, supervision and ongoing training
