Job summary

BAM UK and Ireland is seeking a Senior Project Surveyor based in the North West region to lead commercial delivery on major projects. You will collaborate with the project manager and team to secure value and timely outcomes, while guiding procurement and subcontract management.

The role requires a demonstrable track record with a main contractor, degree-level qualification, and active MRICS/MCIOB progression. Strong Excel, BIM, and negotiation skills are essential to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in a construction discipline; MRICS/MCIOB preferred.
• Open to candidates working towards MRICS/MCIOB; active progression encouraged.
• Proven track record with a main contractor in construction.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; BIM experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership at project level and support pre-construction and tenders.
• Procurement of subcontract packages and assembling enquiry documentation.
• Obtain and analyse subcontractor quotations; make recommendations.
• Manage payments and commercial control of subcontract packages.
• Lead overall valuation process with client representatives and vary final accounts.
• Produce monthly/quarterly cost reports, forecasts and cashflow projections.
