Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Project Planner to shape schedules and control baselines across complex projects. You will lead planning workshops, ensure a logical linkage of activities to deliverables, and monitor Earned Value and cost indices.

With strong Excel and Primavera P6 skills, you will drive performance, prepare periodic reports, and coordinate with cost controllers. The role supports flexible and remote working and offers development opportunities within a global engineering team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project planning, analysis and reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of schedules and critical path methods.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and project management software.
• Ability to lead meetings and manage stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project schedules and maintain a Baseline schedule with critical path.
• Chair planning workshops and develop schedules using best practice.
• Ensure activities are logically linked to deliverables and plans.
• Update schedule progress according to processes and validate work completed.
• Explain variances between schedule, plan, earned value and forecasts.
• Monitor KPIs such as Schedule Performance Index and Cost Performance Index.
• Collaborate with the cost controller to identify variances between schedule and costs.
• Estimate resources and man hours required and keep updated.
• Prepare reports, trending charts, and lead progress meetings.
