Job summary

Leonardo is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to support the implementation, governance and improvement of the Project Risk Management process within a UK LOB. The role requires senior-level oversight, guidance to IPTs, and strong leadership across Basildon/Luton/London or Southampton sites.

You will champion risk intelligence, deliver training, and ensure risk information is accurate and decision-focused, with occasional travel to other Leonardo UK sites and Italy as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical or business subject.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise and project risk management frameworks and standards.
• Significant experience in project or programme risk management.
• Numerate with experience in statistical and financial modelling (Monte Carlo techniques).
• Ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders.
• Experience leading workshops and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight and governance across projects and IPTs.
• Contribute to RM Framework definition and continuous improvement.
• Support IPTs to identify, assess and manage risks and opportunities.
• Produce risk reports and provide timely, decision-focused insight.
• Mentor and develop Project Risk Managers across sites.
• Analyse residual risk and support contingency setting and escalation.
