Job summary

Globe 24-7, in partnership with a leading mining company, is seeking a Principal Project Planner to lead the planning and scheduling function across a diverse portfolio of international mining projects. This is a hybrid/remote role supporting development, execution and investment decisions by delivering integrated schedules and portfolio reporting.

You will own CPM/EVM systems, drive schedule quality, mentor junior planners and collaborate with teams across geographies to ensure on-time,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years' experience in project planning and scheduling within mining/resources/heavy industry.
• Experience supporting capital projects from study phases (PEA, PFS, Feasibility) through execution.
• Strong CPM, EVM, schedule risk analysis and project controls knowledge.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project; tools such as @Risk.
• Experience developing and maintaining complex, integrated schedules across multidisciplinary teams.
• Travel internationally to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of integrated project schedules across all project study phases.
• Develop detailed, resource-loaded schedules with study teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor schedule progress, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide independent schedule oversight for projects in execution; review contractor schedules.
• Ensure schedule quality, governance and reporting across the portfolio.
• Perform critical path, float analyses and scenario planning for decision-making.
• Support QSRA and provide insights for stage-gate reviews and contingency planning.
• Develop planning standards, templates and methodologies for consistency.
• Evaluate scheduling tools and provide technical guidance to teams and contractors.
• Integrate schedule with cost, risk and scope data for portfolio reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement and mentor project planners.
