Job summary

Mercury in London is seeking a Senior Planner to lead planning across regional and sectoral projects, owning the full scheduling lifecycle and driving programme strategy.

You will develop robust schedules in Primavera P6, manage EVM where required, and provide senior management with KPI trends, critical path analyses, and risk commentary to support decision making.

Excellent communication and ownership are essential to align with construction delivery teams and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years planning and project controls in large-scale construction.
• Experience with data centre projects preferred.
• Full lifecycle knowledge: design to close-out.
• Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency.
• DCMA metrics, CPM scheduling and baseline control.
• Strong Excel and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead planner for projects or portfolios, owning schedule.
• Develop and maintain WBS, calendars, logic networks.
• Provide schedule health, KPI trends, and reporting.
• Manage EVM frameworks where required.
• Conduct on-site audits and verify progress against plan.
• Prepare tender schedules and support bids.
• Support weekly lookahead planning and weekly execution.
