Job summary

Avove, a leading UK infrastructure services provider, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery across water/wastewater projects for United Utilities and related accounts.

You will guide a team of Project Managers, collaborate with supply chain partners and stakeholders, and ensure safe, efficient and high-quality delivery with strong financial governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Non-Infrastructure projects.
• Water/wastewater sector experience.
• Proven experience managing large, complex projects end-to-end.
• Strong leadership to influence stakeholders.
• Understanding of programme delivery processes and HSEQ legislation.
• Financial control and budgeting experience.
• Experience with NEC contracts.
• Experience coaching and developing teams.
• SMSTS, Prince2/APMP and full UK driving licence.
• HNC/Degree with NEBOSH/IOSH or NEC PMA accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing Project Managers to maximise performance.
• Overseeing delivery and financial performance across a portfolio of work.
• Identifying risks early and implementing corrective actions.
• Planning, coordinating and supervising all project activities.
• Ensuring compliance with Avove’s Work Together, Safe Together ethos.
• Managing change control, commercial inputs and supplier quotations.
• Ensuring project scope, design acceptance and risk management plans are in place.
• Maintaining quality assurance and consistent application of procedures.
• Building strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal teams.
• Conducting site visits, attending management meetings and providing expert solutions.
• Signing off supply chain work and contributing to final accounts.
