Job summary

Blackwell Earthmoving Limited, part of the Hargreaves Services Group, seeks a Project Manager for the Lower Thames Crossing to lead one section of earthworks, ensuring safety, productivity, and on-time delivery. You will report to the Earthworks Operations Leader, manage programmes and budgets, and foster strong relationships with clients and the public to support successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Extensive civil engineering experience, preferably in earthworks.
• Experience in linear earthworks.
• Senior management or project management experience.
• Ability to produce resourced programmes and budgets.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a sectional delivery team to ensure earthworks are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
• Maintain strong relationships with the Client, stakeholders, and the public when required.
• Take ownership of all work under their control and ensure high standards of delivery.
• Keep the Senior Leadership Team fully informed of progress, risks, and emerging issues.
• Work with Central Support, Commercial, and Health & Safety teams to maintain coordinated delivery.
• Produce resourced programmes and develop working budgets.
• Ensure compliance with earthworks specifications and materials handling requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
• Promote a safe working environment and deputise to support wider leadership.
