Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver the Skye 132kV Reinforcement project. You will lead the project team, oversee external contractors, and ensure delivery to programme, budget and safety standards.

Based in Scotland with 2-3 days on Skye, you will drive governance, manage cost forecasting, and coordinate stakeholders across the wider network to support the energy transition.

Qualifications

• Strong background in engineering, construction, or major infrastructure delivery.
• Experience delivering civils, earthworks, or transmission projects.
• Proven ability to forecast, monitor and control project costs.
• Experience in NEC3 contracts management.
• Experience with tendering and supplier management.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SSE project team and collaborate with external contractors to deliver excellence.
• Manage execution of the Skye Reinforcement Project to programme, budget and quality.
• Apply and uphold Safety Management Systems and LCP governance.
• Promote SSE safety culture and inclusive, collaborative working.
• Align project with RIIO-T2 Business Plan and maintain stakeholder relationships.
