Job summary

ScottishPower is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development of major transmission projects in Scotland, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient progression from concept to handover. The role focuses on governance, cost control and programme delivery within RIIO-T3 commitments.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, engage stakeholders, and drive improvements while ensuring alignment with Net Zero goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large capital infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
• Expertise in contract management (NEC, SPT D&C, JCT & FIDIC).
• Knowledge of financial control and forecasting.
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes.
• Extensive knowledge in risk management and project governance.
• CDM Regulations 2015 and health & safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of transmission infrastructure projects from concept to handover.
• Deliver outputs, metrics and milestones in line with targets.
• Manage project risk, cost and programme safely.
• Administer contracts and ITTs.
• Forecast capital expenditure and projections with governance accountability.
• Create and monitor project programmes.
• Engage stakeholders and build community liaison in line with SPEN Charter.
• Drive continual improvement and share lessons across the portfolio.
• Promote safety culture and CDM compliance.
• Support planning and consenting activities including EIA processes.
