Job summary

NG Bailey is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Project Manager to lead substation renewal and remedial works across the Northern Powergrid network in South Yorkshire. You will drive safety, delivery, and commercial success from inception to handover.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, produce estimates and reports, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. A UK driving licence and track record in utilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in utilities, power distribution, or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of HV and LV electrical systems, particularly in substations.
• Experience with NRSWA/Street Works requirements.
• Demonstrable experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong commercial awareness, including estimating and cost management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, planning, and coordination abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering projects safely in construction or utility environments.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Northern Powergrid and key stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates on programme, performance, and project risks.
• Drive a positive safety culture and promote continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• SAP authorization or experience working closely with authorized personnel.
