Job summary

Astute seeks a Senior Project Manager – Onshore Wind Development to lead large-scale onshore wind and renewable energy projects from inception through planning and permits to construction readiness.

Based in Somerset or London, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and programmes, and ensure delivery aligns with regulatory requirements and project objectives. APM or equivalent qualification and proven wind development experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading onshore wind projects through planning and delivery.
• Knowledge of planning, environmental, land, grid and stakeholder requirements.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead onshore wind development projects from feasibility to construction readiness.
• Coordinate internal teams and external consultants across planning and environmental disciplines.
• Manage planning applications and consent documentation to meet policy and statutory requirements.
• Build relationships with landowners and local authorities and manage land rights.
• Oversee project budgets, programmes and risk tracking.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety during development activities.
• Discharge planning conditions and obtain necessary permits ahead of construction.
• Provide leadership within the development team and report progress to stakeholders.
