Job summary

Astute People is seeking a Senior Project Manager for onshore wind development, based in Somerset or London. You will lead projects from feasibility through planning and conditions discharge to construction readiness, coordinating internal teams and external consultants.

The role emphasizes strong stakeholder engagement, governance, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have a recognised project management qualification (APM or equivalent) and proven experience in onshore wind

Qualifications

Recognised project management qualification such as APM, or equivalent proven experience.
Experience managing onshore wind development projects through planning and consent.
Strong knowledge of the wind development lifecycle: feasibility, planning, environmental, land, grid and stakeholder requirements.
Beneficial: renewable energy, planning, environmental disciplines, or engineering background.

Responsibilities

Lead onshore wind development projects from site identification through planning consent and construction readiness.
Coordinate internal teams and external consultants across planning, environmental, land, grid, and stakeholders.
Manage planning applications, environmental assessments and consent documentation to meet policy requirements.
Maintain relationships with landowners, authorities and communities; manage land rights where needed.
Oversee budgets, resources, programmes, and governance with risk and milestone tracking.
