The purpose of this role is to support the safe and successful delivery of Capital Delivery Projects across the airport portfolio. You will work with the Capital Delivery and Asset Management Teams to deliver projects within budget and on time.

Our current Capital Delivery projects include all three airports and categories: Terminals, Airfield, and Infrastructure. We forecast capital investment for FY21 at approximately £130m, and this role will be responsible for delivering the annual CAPEX spend, managing over 20 contractors, and overseeing a spend of over £2 million.

Responsibilities broadly include:

• Adopting an Airport-as-the-customer approach to project delivery, ensuring minimal disruption to airport operations.
• Driving programme efficiencies through resource optimisation and project bundling.
• Delivering projects on cost, schedule, and quality.
• Having experience in delivering complex construction projects in the transport sector (Aviation, Rail, Highways). A university degree and Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status are highly desirable, but project management qualifications like APMQ or Prince2 are also acceptable.
• Exhibiting leadership, the ability to deliver through others, influence without direct control, and experience in project development from exploration to handover.
• Demonstrating success in project delivery, commercial acumen, and strong IT skills (MS Word and Excel).
• Managing stakeholders effectively, engaging with internal and external parties, and handling conflicting demands.
