Job summary

Galliford Try in Guildford is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex site deliveries, ensuring projects are completed on time, to budget and to client specification. You will manage cross-functional teams, engage with designers, supply chain and stakeholders to drive safe, buildable designs and robust delivery plans.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing multiple teams.
• First class project management capabilities able to showcase a track record of delivering to client’s expectations.
• Experience in developing a performance culture.
• Advanced communication skills adept at interfacing with multiple stakeholders both internal and external.
• Strong knowledge of CDM
• Commercially astute.
• Proven leadership and delegation skills.
• Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.
• Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the Galliford Try values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration.
• Knowledge of working in a secure environment (preferred but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects on time, within budget and to client specification.
• Lead designer engagement to ensure safe, buildable design and timely design phase.
• Plan, prepare and facilitate collaborative workshops as required.
• Interview select and onboard staff per resource profile for the Scheme.
• With Commercial Team support, select the best Supply Chain partners.
• Discharge all pre-commencement and regulatory requirements before work begins.
• Plan and oversee the delivery of the Scheme throughout the project lifecycle.
• Appoint a Temporary Works Co-ordinator and ensure Temporary Works are understood and designed.
• Oversee site offices and site compound establishment.
• Champion innovative technologies and techniques.
• Manage risk and opportunities with the Risk Manager.
• Lead the Commercial Team to manage costs, cash flow and profitability.
• Ensure incidents are investigated and learnings implemented.
• Ensure delivery and quality meet required standards.
• Manage Construction Teams and Supply Chain to meet Budget, Programme and Scope.
