Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee major infrastructure projects in Randburg, Gauteng. The role combines essential on-site supervision with remote planning and administration, requiring leadership across multiple stakeholders to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing large-scale construction projects, extensive knowledge of PM methodologies, and a PMP or equivalent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale construction/infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from planning to closeout.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring safety, quality and compliance with specs.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects and engineers.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong understanding of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and forecast project expenditures accurately.
• Experience in risk management and stakeholder engagement.
• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are highly desirable.
