About the Role

Our client, a leading enterprise solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in IT infrastructure and network deployments to join their team in Randburg, Gauteng. This role is critical for managing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, data center migrations, and cloud integrations. You will work closely with IT operations, cybersecurity teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution and minimal disruption to business operations. This hybrid role offers a mix of on-site project management duties and remote strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IT infrastructure and a proven ability to manage large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and security best practices. Your role will be central to enhancing the organization's technological backbone.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT infrastructure and network projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets for infrastructure initiatives.
• Manage cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and support staff.
• Oversee vendor selection and management for hardware, software, and services related to infrastructure projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all technical and quality specifications.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders regularly.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of IT project management experience, with a strong focus on infrastructure, networking, cloud computing, or data center projects.
• Proven experience managing projects with budgets exceeding R10 million.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi), server infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity principles.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL certifications are highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, with regular presence required in Randburg, Gauteng.
• Demonstrated experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
