Job summary

McBains is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Manchester-based PM team. You will lead day-to-day project delivery, manage client relationships and drive procurement and risk processes across multiple sectors including government and defence.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience, and be comfortable with UK travel. Mentoring colleagues and contributing to APC training are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' project management experience with client-facing roles.
• Experience managing multiple projects across government, blue light, defence sectors.
• Extensive pre- and post-contract experience with public and private sector clients; UK travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day delivery of projects.
• Engage with clients and develop and maintain client relationships.
• Establish processes and systems to be used throughout the project.
• Change management assessment, tracking and reporting.
• Manage risk processes and value management.
• Work with supply chain and implement procurement.
• Liaise with client, contractors and designers.
• Manage sub-consultants.
• Attend and chair meetings.
