Job summary

West Midlands Combined Authority seeks a Senior Project Manager to drive delivery across Bus Reform workstreams, coordinating planning through implementation. You will manage dependencies, risks, and engage senior leaders, partners and stakeholders to keep the programme on track and within budgets.

Reporting to the Head of Bus Reform Programme Delivery, you will lead project planning, budgets, and performance reporting while supporting a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering multi-disciplinary projects in a complex programme.
• Proven track-record of delivering projects on time, on budget and to scope.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and building relationships.
• Experience of contract management through procurement and supplier management.
• Experience managing people including appraisals and recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project management activities align with assurance and compliance frameworks.
• Build internal stakeholder networks to understand project activity.
• Provide direction and coordination of activities with adequate resources.
• Establish and maintain relationships with authorities, employers, unions and government departments.
• Lead production of project planning, reports and budgets.
• Review activity to identify improvements and collaboration opportunities.
