Job summary

Avanti West Coast is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex digital and technology projects across our direct retail channels. You will drive new digital features, enhancements and integrations that support our commercial strategy and improve customer experience.

You'll provide strong leadership, governance and delivery expertise across Digital, Technology, Commercial and Business teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the

• PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent.
• AgilePM, Scrum Master, SAFe or equivalent Agile certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technology projects from initiation through to successful delivery and transition into live environments.
• Manage project governance, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies and change.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Testers and Business Owners to deliver software enhancements, new features and integrations.
• Manage senior internal and external stakeholders, resolving competing priorities and escalating decisions where required.
• Support delivery of the Commercial Retailing Roadmap and ensure alignment with business strategy and commitments.
• Provide clear reporting to Project, Programme and Executive Boards.
• Coach and support other Project Managers and promote best practice across the project management community.

Job description

We’re looking for an experiencedSenior Project Managerto lead the delivery of complex digital and technology projects acrossAvanti West Coast’s direct retailing channels.

You’ll play a key role in delivering new digital features, enhancements and integrations that support our commercial strategy and improve the customer experience.

Working across Digital, Technology, Commercial and Business teams, you’ll provide strong leadership, governance and delivery expertise, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality.

What you’ll do

• Lead complex technology projects from initiation through to successful delivery and transition into live environments.
• Manage project governance, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies and change.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Testers and Business Owners to deliver software enhancements, new features and integrations.
• Manage senior internal and external stakeholders, resolving competing priorities and escalating decisions where required.
• Support delivery of the Commercial Retailing Roadmap and ensure alignment with business strategy and commitments.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience deliveringcomplex technology or digital projects.
• Strong experience ofsoftware development and Agile delivery, alongside knowledge of Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder, governance, financial, risk and issue management skills.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary technology and business teams.
• Confidence operating with senior stakeholders and navigating complex delivery environments.
• Experience in aregulated, safety-critical or similarly complex environmentis desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
