We're looking for a Senior Project Manager (Delivery) to join our SP Manweb team in Mid-Cheshire district and lead the delivery of high-voltage projects up to 33kV, with values ranging from £100k to £2m.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Head of Delivery, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of capital investment and connections projects across the HV and EHV portfolio. You'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory obligations, while maintaining high standards of customer service and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of HV/EHV projects (up to 33kV) from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business plan objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project budgets ranging from £100k to £2m, ensuring cost-effective delivery and optimisation of incentive mechanisms.
  • Develop and maintain robust project plans to minimise customer outages and ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee contract management and CDM compliance, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
  • Engage with customers, stakeholders, and local communities to support project delivery and communication.
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics including Customer Minutes Lost, Customer Interruptions, Time to Connect, and Guaranteed Standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Integrate Operational Excellence principles and ensure accurate data capture in corporate systems.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in project delivery within the electricity distribution sector, ideally on HV/EHV networks.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and incentive mechanisms.
  • Excellent stakeholder and customer engagement skills.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to balance project delivery with customer service.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of computer literacy, including SAP, NAMS, and other IT systems.
  • Working knowledge of interconnected LV networks is desirable.
Essential Requirements
  • HNC/D (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering), or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.

What's in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we'll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
