Balfour Beatty plc in the Hull area is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead planning, management and delivery of a major power infrastructure project.

• Ensure procurement plans align with project schedules and supply chain needs.
• Deliver with cost control and efficient use of resources.
• Drive handover and certification readiness.
• Promote data-driven decision making through reliable digital data.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, management, and delivery of a major projects spanning in the Hull area. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of the project, contributing to the future of sustainable energy infrastructure in England & Wales

What you'll be doing

Your responsibilities will include ( but not exhausted) to:

• Prepare both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders
• Ensure reports provide relevant information which enables decisions to be made which are informed, cost effective and in line with overall strategy
• Lead a relentless focus on Zero Harm & keep up to date with changes in legislation
• Develop, implement and update resource allocation plans (OBS) and raise appropriate requests
• Develop high performing diverse teams, promote a pipeline of talent and assist with internal training through supporting, guiding, motivating and empowering the team. Using the resources available through training, mentoring and performance management
• Lead risk/opportunity reviews, present the Risk Register and recommend/implement changes
• Ensure procurement plans are available in line with the overall project plans, such that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet scheduled deadlines
• Ensure all work is undertaken with a view towards handover and certification
• Develop, implement, review and periodically update resource loaded schedules
• Ensure that expenditure is in line with the budget and that resources are utilised efficiently to ensure cost control
• Advocate consistency and reliability of digital data to support successful project delivery – data driven decisions

• To understand standard forms of contracts and performance evaluation techniques.
