The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be involved in creating new technology and innovative products supporting future defence on a global scale. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Leading initiatives supporting the Programme Manager in project delivery, cost control, and change management across Maritime Communications and Maritime Electromagnetic Warfare.
• Providing end-to-end delivery, including requirement capture, scoping, and proposal development.
• Managing risks effectively to minimize exposure.
• Applying change management practices to adapt to customer requirements while maintaining commercial integrity.
• Defining acceptance criteria and ensuring smooth project close-outs and technical handovers.
• Reviewing lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Managing financial and stakeholder communications through regular reviews and reports.

This is a full-time role (37 hours/week) with hybrid working (1 day onsite, 4 days remote), which may vary based on project needs.

Essential Experience

• Extensive experience in project management within a technical environment, operating at a senior level.
• Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills.
• Experience in line management and leadership in a matrix environment.
• Experience working with senior management internally and externally.
• Knowledge of uncrewed vessels is beneficial.

Qualifications

• PM qualification (APM, Chartership, or equivalent) preferred.
• UK driving license.

Security Clearance

The candidate must be a UK national eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance, with potential to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
