Senior Project Manager – Balance of Plant (BoP)

Step into a pivotal leadership role where your expertise will shape the delivery of critical infrastructure within one of the most complex and high-profile projects in the UK. As a Senior Project Manager you’ll lead the charge in delivering key systems, structures, and components across multiple buildings and contracts within the Balance of Plant (BoP) programme.

From concept to commissioning, you’ll drive performance, precision, and progress by:

• Leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams to deliver world-class outcomes.
• Owning and optimising budgets, schedules, risk strategies, and quality frameworks.
• Managing complex stakeholder interfaces, both internal and external, with clarity and confidence.
• Applying deep technical and project knowledge to ensure safe, compliant, and timely delivery.
• Leading the end-to-end EPCC
• Delivery of multiple buildings within the BoP area
• Managing a small team of 2–3 Project Managers/Assistant Project Managers.

About You

You’re a highly experienced project professional with a strong track record delivering large-scale, high-value engineering or infrastructure projects. You bring:

• Full lifecycle expertise – from design and construction through to commissioning.
• Commercial acumen – adept at contract management, cost control, and dispute resolution.
• Risk and quality focus – with a drive for operational excellence in regulated, safety-critical settings.

Must Have Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous EPR experience.
• A non-project management background would be considered, provided you have direct, relevant EPR experience (e.g., senior engineering manager on an EPR project looking to transition into Senior Project Management).
• Previous experience on any nuclear project, specifically delivering Balance of Plant (BoP) scope.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field (chartership or professional membership such as MICE, MIMechE, or APM PPQ is a strong plus).
• Proven experience with Earned Value Management, CDM Regulations, and quality systems in regulated sectors (nuclear experience is advantageous).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
