Job summary

PSR Solutions seeks a Senior Project Manager for a permanent role in Greater Manchester, working with a leading main contractor on Government sector projects. You will manage projects to ensure safe completion within programme, budget and specification, with a focus on Design & Build deliveries.

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record as a Senior Project Manager within main contracting, strong communication skills, and current CSCS, SMSTS, and first aid certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in Construction industry, Design and Build background preferred.
• Proven track record delivering projects as Senior Project Manager.
• Experience with main contractors as Senior PM.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Current CSCS, SMSTS and first aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards on site throughout projects.
• Contribute to value engineering and build-ability improvements.
• Agree programmes and construction methods with planners and production staff.
• Marshal resources and select subcontractors for execution.
• Monitor key dates, resource needs, production rates and overhead targets.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams across project delivery.
• Maintain cost control and commercial systems to meet contract requirements.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER REQUIRED ON PERMANENT BASIS IN GREATER MANCHESTER FOR A MAIN CONTRACTOR

I am assisting my client with an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join a leading main contractor. The business undertake projects in various sectors including specialising in Government sector jobs. e.g MOJ/MOD.

As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for managing projects to ensure the safe completion, in accordance with programme, specification and budget.

Salary: Up to £100,000 + Package

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and maintaining the highest standards of safety
• Contributing to the value engineering and build-ability of the project
• Agreement of programmes and methods of construction with Planners and other appropriate production personnel
• Marshalling of resources for the overall control and execution of the works including the selection of sub-contractors to carry out the works
• Ensuring that key dates, resource requirements, production rates, overhead targets etc., are established, monitored and controlled
• Managing multi disciplinary teams
• Cost Control
• Establishing and maintaining commercial and financial control systems, procedures and standards which will meet the contractual requirements of the projects

Experience and Qualifications:

• You will ideally have experience of working within the Construction industry, specifically on Design and Build.
• A proven track of success of delivering projects as a Senior Project Manager
• You will have experience of working for a main contractor as a Senior Project Manager.
• Good communication verbally and in written form.
• Hold current CSCS, SMSTS and first aid certification
• Present a clean and tidy site and have a good understanding of the considerate contractor's requirements to achieve high score
